Option for bulk upload of records from csv file

Hi,

I am new to Specify and I was wondering if anyone knew of an option to upload many records onto Specify, or if I have to enter them manually. Any help would be much appreciated.

Specify has a tool known as the WorkBench that enables users (with the appropriate permissions) to upload data in bulk, not just for specimen records, but also for taxonomy, geographies, citations, preparations, localities, agents, and more.

As long as you have a CSV or Excel file, you can import it into Specify and map the columns to the appropriate fields in the Specify data model. The mapping process is similar to building a query, but instead of specifying which fields to retrieve data from, you’re telling the tool where the data should go!
