SCC Meeting Guidelines
These rules act as a guideline for behavior in SCC Meetings. They are to be followed by all attendees. Failure to adhere to the rules may result in being asked to leave the meeting. Repeated failures to adhere to the rules may result in being asked to leave the relevant Governance Group.
Show up on time and prepared
Board and Committee members should review the materials sent out by the SCC before the meeting. If you will not be able to attend or will be late, please notify membership@specifysoftware.org so the meeting may proceed uninterrupted.
Contribute to Meeting Goals
Board and Committee members were chosen for their insights and experience. Contribute to discussions with questions, ideas, and your unique perspectives to make the meetings as productive and enjoyable as possible.
Respect the Agenda
Board and Committee agendas are filled with pertinent and important information. The agenda is curated to fit within the meeting time. Board and Committee members are expected to stick to the agenda items unless the Executive Director asks for any other topics. If there is a topic a Board or Committee member would like to discuss in a meeting, please contact membership@specifysoftware.org before the meeting to discuss adding it to the agenda.
Show Respect to Other Attendees
Board and Committee members are expected to show respect to other attendees. This includes not interrupting, talking over, speaking cruelly, or yelling.
Keep your Microphone Muted when not Speaking
Ambient noises distract everyone from the content of the meeting. Please keep muted until you are speaking.
