7.11.4 (5 February 2026)
With this update, Specify users will benefit from improved stability during the auto-incrementing process, particularly when using the WorkBench while other users are working on the same database.
Our team has fortified the database transaction system to ensure that new record creation is not blocked by concurrent validation or uploads being done by the WorkBench or via Batch Edit.
Fixed
- Prevent auto-incrementing in the WorkBench from preventing other users from accessing Specify (#7671 - Reported by CSIRO, RBGE, NHMD, IRD, and many others)
- Fixes an issue with auto-incrementing for the ‘Treatment Number’ field in ‘Treatment Event’ (#7560 - Reported by SDNHM and CSIRO)
- Solves an issue that prevented the upload of records with auto-incrementing fields when other users are creating records in the same table (#4894 - Reported by RBGE and others)
