Specify 7.11.3 Release Announcement

7.11.3 (13 November 2025)

Specify 7.11.3 is a minor release that includes a few bug fixes and changes. This release aims to resolve minor issues and enhance the reporting of database content statistics.

Specify Cloud instances will be updated this Sunday, November 16th!


[!abstract] MariaDB Reminder
As of Specify 7.11.2, we are transitioning to MariaDB 11.8 LTS as our primary supported database environment. While MariaDB 10.11 remains compatible with the latest release of Specify 7, this may change in future updates.

Added

  • SCC telemetry now reports the count of collection objects, collections, and users in a database[1]

Fixed

  • Fixes an issue where pick lists defined based on a “Field From Table” would cause a crash (#7456)
  • Fixes an issue where tree numbering was being done incorrectly in some trees (#7423)
  • Fixes an issue where boolean values were not displaying in some cases when included in a table format or aggregation (#7510)
