Is there a way to duplicate a loan with the exact same catalog numbers? If I clone the loan, the loan preparations are blank and not cloned as well (just the loan details) which is not very helpful. I tried creating a record set of the catalog numbers but cannot select a record set created from loans when trying to create a new loan. Am I missing something or is this not possible?

Unfortunately, no, loan preparations are not eligible to be cloned or carried forward with the parent record because of the special relationship between interactions and their preparations. Another limitation is that the count of available prep items would also need to be validated before before cloning or carrying forward.
You will need to search with the preparations subview on your loan record to add preparations through the forms.
