A minor weird thing I noticed about records viewed using the new “Linked Records Button”: there is a “delete” button that appears in the upper right hand corner of the window for records, and it is “functional” in the sense that you can click “delete” and it will temporarily remove the record from the view, even when signed in as a user with read-only privileges.
Thankfully, the “deleted” record returns on page refresh. So it seems like this issue isn’t a critical problem. But it’s an odd function, considering normally the delete button for linked records or attachments is not visible at all if you’re a user without delete privileges. Is this the expected behavior? It seems misleading, since this is the only situation in which a user with no read permissions will see a button marked “delete”. It scared me when I saw it!
I can confirm this is harmless and records cannot be removed, but I completely understand your reaction upon discovering it initially. This has been added to our GitHub repo to solve in a future update:
