Changed

  • The Sp7 top menu has been redesigned. It looks cleaner, takes less space and offers more customization options - you can change the menu position in the window, e.g. move it to the side, and re-order menu items as you like. (#2820)
  • Instead of using default browser tool-tips (those tiny mouse-over text blurbs), Specify now displays more pleasing tool-tips - they are easier to read and behave better. Plus, they even work on touch screen devices. (#3002) (We have a fix in the next release for the occasional jumping tool-tip.)

  • Updated several back-end software dependencies (#1915)

  • Made form parsing more forgiving to mistakes in layout (#2666, #2716)

  • The deletion dialog now shows a name of the resource you are about to delete for extra confirmation (#2854) - Requested by University of Michigan

  • Improved French localization - thanks to @HeatherC

  • Improved Ukrainian localization - thanks to @Kefir2105

  • Tree focus now jumps to node’s parent after deletion of a node (#2781) - Requested by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada

  • Reports dialog now shows an icon for base table report belongs to (#1109) - Requested by University of Michigan

  • Added support for restricting min length and max length of a text field on a form (#2022)

  • Shows the ID field name and table scope in schema viewer (#2080)

  • Added an easy way to show only dependent/independent relationships in schema viewer (#2855)

  • Added an indicator if user lost internet connectivity to prevent data loss (#2711)

  • Now warns when importing a query that has hidden fields (#1318)

  • Warns when opening a query that has fields without read access (#1661)

Fixed

  • Fixed inability to print pages that have scroll bars (#2820)

  • Fixed formatted dates in XLSX data sets not always being imported correctly (#2027) - Reported by CSIRO and others

  • Now maintain cell height for large text fields in grid view (#2765) - Fixed by @cdamyx

  • Fixed contrast issues with buttons in Query Builder (#2611) - Fixed by @cdamyx

Security

  • Made opening links in a new tab safer (#2600)
